dlr proposed New Safe Walking and Cycling Routes – Phase 1 Public Engagement Report

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has published the public engagement reports on the three proosed New Safe Walking and Cycling Routes. This is the outcome of the Phase 1 non-statutory public engagement process, undertaken from Friday 25th September to Friday 6th November 2020.

For your information, please find attached a copy of the Submissions and Executive’s Recommendations – Summary Report.

A total of 6,431 representations were submitted, reviewed and considered as part of the process. The consultation identified a significant level of support for the proposed measures. Of the 6,431 representations received, 63% confirmed their support for the proposals, whilst 35% did not support the proposals.

The recommendations included in the above Reports will be implemented as part of Phase 2 of the project. It is proposed that the scheme will progress to the detailed design phase, with contractors and materials procured and measures implemented and constructed, at which point the pilot phase will commence in Autumn 2021.
