Several burglaries in recent days in Mount Merrion

In the past week there has been a spate of burglaries and break ins in the Mount Merrion area. The Gardaí in Blackrock have warned residents to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity and have asked householders to be especially vigilant in the run up to Christmas as there is always an increase in this type of crime.

Heritage

Heritage is entrusted to us to safeguard it and hand it on to the next generation. An interesting article outlining the 300 year old heritage of Mount Merrion, where it can be seen, and the recent loss of of 116 year old Yew Trees, most likely planted by Lady Pembroke or her daughter the wife of Sir Nevile Wilkinson.
