The Rise – Farewell to a much loved Sycamore Tree
It is with great sadness that the Sycamore tree at the junction of The Rise and Trees Road Upper was felled. It was dead on one side and had got to a condition which DLRCC could no longer retain due to risk of branches fracturing etc. It will take a couple of years for the underground tree roots to deteriorate sufficiently for a tree to be replanted here but once it does we shall replant a replacement.

Proposed route: From N11 up East Avenue through the Church car park on The Rise via the lane way at Scoil San Treasa to Deerpark and out through Mount Anville. There will also be a segregated cycle path on the Lower Kilmacud Road.
