We are delighted to let you know that the Council has done extensive tree planting in Cherrygarth over the last few days. There are now trees outside most houses and a Grove of 6 mature trees have been planted in the green, at the bottom of Cherrygarth at the entrance to the Lower Kilmacud Road. Thank you to Lorraine O’Hara, dlr Environment, and her team for organising the new tree planting.
To help ensure these new trees thrive we would appreciate if residents with a new tree outside or opposite their house give it a bucket of water every two days till October this year, and again next year. Grey water, previously used for washing is quite acceptable for these trees. If you can get involved in a water rota for the trees on the green please email email@example.com
