Planning Appeal: Demolition on Site of 24, 26, 28 Foster Avenue (D20A/0406)

DLRCC has granted planning permission for demolition on the site of 24, 26, 28 Foster Avenue D20A/0406, subject to a number of conditions. MMRA will lodge an appeal to An Bord Pleanala on a number of grounds.

Residents who submitted observations regarding D20A/0406 may make an observation directly to An Bord Pleanála. Deadline for observations is 1st Dec, 2020

Note: The Developer has lodged a separate planning application for overall development of the site D20A/0607 on 21/09/2020. That planning application is still under consideration by DLRCC.

Autumn Roadside Leaf Sweep Saturday November 28th

We are planning an Autumn Roadside Leaf Sweep Up on Saturday November 28th.   This will help keep our rain gullies clear of debris as we come into the wet winter weather, and spruce up the kerbs. MMRA-sponsored Panda Skip Bags will be available in central locations for residents to deposit leaves swept up on the day.  If each resident could sweep outside their own home and place the leaves collected in the skip bag closest to their road.   Help with the footpath area outside an elderly neighbours home would be much appreciated.  The bags will then be collected the following week by Panda. Please note the Panda Skip Bags are ONLY for Roadside Leaves and for use by residents of Mount Merrion.   No builders waste, litter, soil, rubble, personal garden waste or debris allowed.  The skip bags must only be filled to Level Load.   All personal garden waste should be placed in your own Brown Wheelie Bin. MMRA Winter Art Competition

MMRA are delighted to launch our very first Online Winter Art Competition. The competition is open to all residents of Mount Merrion. So whether you are a beginner, novice or budding artist there’s a chance to win some great prizes.

There are five age categories from under 10s to over 65s. In the spirit of supporting local businesses, MMRA will endeavor to issue winners with prize vouchers that can be redeemed within the community.
