Subject: Issueds raised at AGM Parking on South Avenue/Speeding
Hi Des,
Thank you for inviting me to the Mount Merrion AGM.
The issue of parking was raised at the meeting. On today’s date I issued 9 tickets for parking on a footway on South Avenue opposite the church. I promised I would act on it.
Perhaps you can circulate that the road will continue to be monitored.
The vehicles were blocking both paths as outlined at the meeting. I believe double yellow lines on either side would act as a better deterrent.
As for a speeding in Mount Merrion I have passed on the concerns raised at the meeting to the Divisional Traffic Corp in Blackrock Garda station.
Regards
John
