We have had a report of a number of instances of young people cycling at speed on the footpaths on Redesdale and other roads. In one case a young person was seen racing his bicycle late on a dark evening against a car and narrowly missing a pedestrian. This is an extremely dangerous activity for both the cyclist involved and any pedestrian who happens to be on the footpath. We are appealing to parents to advise their children against such activity.
High Speed cycling on footpaths is potentially lethal.
