Kevin Barry and his world

Kevin Barry and his world

ILLUSTRATED TALK
by
Prof. Eunan O’Halpin

Eunan O’Halpin is Professor of Contemporary Irish History at Trinity College Dublin. His talk will explore Kevin Barry’s life and death in the context of the destruction of one world order and the emergence of another between 1912 and 1923, and discuss how his status as a student meant that his fate resonated even with republicanism’s bitterest foes

Professor O’Halpin has just completed research for a major study of The Dead of the Irish Revolution 1916-1921

UCD has produced a number of display panels (story boards) on Kevin Barry
and these will be on display following the talk
