Room author Emma Donoghue from North Avenue in Mount Merrion is among the Best Adapted Screenplay nominees for her script of her own bestselling novel, and is joined in that category by English writer Nick Hornby, who adapted Colm Tóibín’s Brooklyn for the big screen.
Emma was educated in Mount Anville and UCD and now lives in Canada. We are all very proud of Emma and we congratulate her on behalf of everyone in Mount Merrion.
