Record turnout for Clean Up Day

The sun shone, we had a great turn out for the Annual Mount Merrion Clean up. Thanks to all our members who turned up and cleaned their own or Common Areas. It was great to see so many children participate this year, we see the Clean Up Day as having both a practical and Educational function. We can at timesĀ  get distracted by bigger issues and fail to appreciate how lovely Mount Merrion is and how fortunate we are to live here.At the moment, with over 30 large Blue bags of rubbish collected and Spring bursting through, the estate is looking wonderful. Just a little effort on all our parts will keep it like that.To maintain the area looking well do turn up if you canĀ  to our monthly Clean Up , on the first Tuesday of the month at 10.30am at the Community Centre.Special thanks are due to Ed Maguire in Deerpark who provided free cones to all the children, to Supervalu Mt. Merrion who sponsored Hi Vis Jackets, pickers, Brushes and spades and to our public representatives, Josepha Madigan, Barry Saul, Deirdre Donnelly and Shane Ross, who all turned up to help.
